Data Deletion Instructions

LinkMe lets creators connect their own Instagram or Facebook account to power comment and DM automations on their own posts. This page explains what information we obtain from Meta to run those automations, and the ways you can have that information deleted.

What we store from your connected Instagram or Facebook account

When you connect an account, LinkMe obtains and stores:

  • Your Page or Instagram account ID and name
  • The access token that lets LinkMe act on your behalf for the automations you set up
  • The public comment content and commenter ID for comments on posts you have enabled an automation for, so LinkMe can match them against the trigger you configured
  • The content of direct messages sent as part of your automations (private replies and inbound DM keyword replies)

We use this information solely to run the automations you configure for your own connected account. We do not sell this information, and we do not use it to advertise to you or anyone else. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information generally.

How to delete your data

1. Disconnect the account in LinkMe

In LinkMe, go to Automations and disconnect the Instagram or Facebook account from the account list. Disconnecting removes the access token LinkMe stored for that account and deletes that account's automation rules and message-routing data. Automations for that account stop running as soon as the disconnect completes, which is normally within moments.

2. Delete your LinkMe account

Deleting your LinkMe account (from Settings) removes every connected account and all associated data, including any data obtained from Meta. Your account is deactivated for 30 days to give you a chance to change your mind; after 30 days it is permanently deleted.

3. Email us

If you can't access your LinkMe account, or you'd like us to delete this data on your behalf, email support@link.me with your request, or submit it through our Personal Information Request form. We handle these requests the same way as other privacy requests described in our Privacy Policy: we may need to verify your identity, and we aim to respond within 45 days.
